October 3 , 2009 - The second Spring Hill, TN and Raleigh, NC clues are now available
In the intrepid spirit of Jack Hawthorne, the hero of my novel Elisha's Bones, I'm announcing a new contest: Find Elisha's Bones.
Volunteers have hidden prize packages in several cities across the US. The list of cities and a clue to the location of each prize package is below. I'll be updating with new clues periodically.
Now, if you've seen the You Tube video announcing the contest, you'll know I mentioned that the prizes aren't valuable. So consider this as an adventure is its own reward sort of thing. In nothing else, you'll have bragging rights to having found the prize package in your city.
That being said, one of the prize packages (and even I don't know which one!) contains a $50 American Express Gift Card. Again, not a huge prize. But you still have bragging rights -after all, you'll have found the extra special prize package.
If you decide to participate, leave a comment on my message board, or at my You Tube contest announcement. Leave some video responses too - especially as you look for the prize package. I'd love to keep track opf your progress . And if you happen to find the one in your city, it's almost a moral imperative that you post a video celebrating your success!
Have fun and don't do anything illegal. Regarding that last, remember that all prize packages are hidden on public property so I don't in any way condone trespassing. And none of the prize packages require the destruction of property to discover so I don't condone that either.
